CHAKWAL:, Pakistan: Higher Education Commission (HEC) forbidden around 450 programs of different categories in 180 public and private sector universities for not interacting with the placed quality criteria of HEC.
Speaking with the state-run information agency, resources said that the prohibited programmes included Master, M.Phil and PhD level, adding that in this respect an alert has also been published on HEC website and daily papers for students and parents, never to signed up for these programs of such institutions.
The HEC won't recognize levels of banned programs so people have to consider their decision timely to avoid trouble in future.
The HEC in addition has prohibited two higher educational establishments including Imperial College of Business Studies Lahore and Chakwal University and refused to attest the Degrees of these institutions.
The students are barred by HEC to adopt admissions in these forbidden institutions of Higher Education.
The Imperial College of Business Studies Lahore and Chakwal University were restricted by HEC on grievances of irregularities in educational and administrative affairs and refused to attest the degrees of students of the said institutions, sources said.
