Five Memebers Of A Family Lost Their Lives in Truck-Van Collision In Chakwal


CHAKWAL: Five people of a family  were wiped out in a collision between a pickup truck and a traveler vehicle on Pindi Highway at Mona Stop (Chakwal), while six were badly injured.

This bad-luck family was on the way to Chakwal from Dhudial side, their van suddenly collided with a truck No. 3327 at about 2:00 am at Mona Stop. Rescue team 1122 arrived soon after the incident within 10 minutes.

 Among the dead bodies, there have been two women, children were also injured in the incident. The injured have been shifted to DHQ medical center where doctors are providing them with treatment.


Among dead, there are: Abdur Raheem, Zahid Iqbal, Mehwish and Raheelah. While Eman Fatima age 3, Ismael Shakoor age 2, Rehan Zahid age 4, Hoorul Ain aged 2, Rafia 3 and Naila 30 were badly injured in this road mishap.


Bad road system, poor traveling, non-implementation of traffic regulations often cause fatal accidents such as this in Pakistan. This tragedy also took place credited to carelessness and over speeding. Hence the investigation is on the way.
