CHAKWAL:: In Hindu mythology, the sacred fish pond at the Katas Raj temples was developed by the tears of Shiva, who wept uncontrollably over the increased loss of his life partner Sati.
However the once 'unfathomable' fish pond, which is still one of the holiest Hindu sites in the area, is drying for the next amount of time in five years. The past time this occurred was in Apr 2012.

Locals come to mind by the blow drying of the prehistoric fish pond, and once and for all reason: this inflatable water body is typically on the verge overflowing all-year circular.

Residents of the region blame cement crops in the vicinity, that they say have drilled lots of water-bores near the temples. These bores, local people and representatives say, are draining this water in the region.
