CHAKWAL: A man was shot dead supposedly by his father in-law in Mangwal town situated in the area of Neelah police.staion.
Adnan Ashraf, 35, went to take an interest in a procession in the town in the evening of Muharram 9 but did not return.
"His body was spotted by a shepherd in a wilderness close to the town, he was shot with a pistol ," a police official stated
The case was registered on the objection of Tanveer Ashraf, the elder brother of deceased. Tanveer said his brother might have been killed by his father in-law.
"Adnan wedded (Nikah) his little girl a few years back with Tanveer, however he was not prepared to send his girl to her husband's home," the authority said. The deceased was working in Saudi Arabia and had been sending money to his father-in-law for upcoming marriage expenses.
"The father-in-law of Tanveer is missing and his cell phone is turned off," the authority told media, including that he had a dispute with one of his elder brother..
Up to now, the aggregate number of individuals who were killed in Chakwal since January 1 this year counted to 55. The police have so far solved just 28 cases.
