Four Dead As Trailer Overturns On Motorway In Kallar Kahar


CHAKWAL: Four people have been killed and one seriously injured after a trailer overturned at the toll road in Kallar Kahar.
According to officials of the National Highways and Motorway Police, the accident happened about around 5am. It overturned due to over-rushing and resultant failing of the vehicle's brakes.

This incident of fate happened inside the Salt Range place — a common and frequent place of accidents on motorway because of its steep slopes and frequent curves.

Sources said the deceased include trailer driver Mazhar Abbas, Abid Hussain, Khurram Shahzad and Malik Mehboob.

Moreover, Mohammad Shafiq become identified because of seriously injured person.

Sources said the trailer was transporting explosive material from Wah to Lahore and employees of a 'security agency' were on board.

The Kallar Kahar police have registered a case and are investigating.

On Tuesday, fourteen people had been killed and 6 injured when a van crashed into a trailer close to Chakri at the motorway.

Officials had stated the incident took place after the driver of the van, traveling from Jhang to Rawalpindi, fell asleep at the wheel.

The van also caught fire after the incidence and became obliterated since it was being operated by CNG.
