CHAKWAL: Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Kh. Imran Nazir paid an emergent visit to District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal besides Tehsil Headquarter Hospitals Kalar Kahar, Bhera, Bhalwal and Kot Momin despite fasting on Wednesday and inspected medical facilities for the patients, cleanliness and other matters in the hospitals. Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan and other officers of the department also accompanied him.
Kh. Imran Nazir took notice of burning expired medicines of Mother and Child Health Program at DHQ Hospital Chakwal and ordered investigation and directed Deputy Commissioner Chakwal to present a report of investigation within 24 hours.
He lamented that instead of serving medicines to the patients the same expired in the shelves. He said that action should be taken against the persons responsible for negligence. He inspected cleanliness in the hospitals and inquired from under treatment patients about provision of medical facilities. He also checked stock of medicines. Kh. Imran Nazir also directed to conduct audit of local purchase of medicines at Tehsil Hospital Chakwal.
