Oldest Human Dies At 146 In Indonesia


JAKARTA - The Indonesian man who died at 146 years, is assumed to be the oldest living person has passed on in his village.
Sodimejo - also called Mbah Gotho (grandpa Ghoto) - from Sragen, Single in Central Java, apparently died on Weekend (Apr 30) after being admitted to Sragen Clinic 3 days ago.


Predicated on his resident id credit card, Mbah Gotho, never experienced any critical health issues, was born in Dec 1870.

He had been heavy smoker before the end of his life. He outlived 4 wives, 10 siblings and all his children.



He was taken up to medical center on 12 Apr because of deteriorating health. Six days later he insisted to come back home.

"Since he returned from a health care facility, he only ate spoonfuls of porridge and drank hardly any," his grandson Suyanto informed the BBC.

"It only lasted a few days. From that point in time to his loss of life, he refused to eat and drink."

His death comes just three days and nights following the oldest female in Malaysia passed on on Friday.
