Chakwal's Eminent Journalist Died Of Heart Attack


CHAKWAL: The most senior journalist of Chakwal Younas Awan died of cardiac arrest during live coverage of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s rally on Tuesday. 
Younas Awan started his journalistic career in 1992. He was known for being an experienced and valiant reporter. He served time in jail because of his intrepid reporting. According to details, Awan had reached Raja Yassir Sarfraz s office on Tuesday where Khan was due to inaugurate PTI s membership drive.
However, the security guards stopped media from moving inside. Awan suffered a cardiac arrest while being pushed at repeatedly in a crowd of people gathered outside Sarfraz s residence. With the help of police, fellow journalists took Awan to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Chakwal but he couldn t make it.
The journalist community of Chakwal have shown anger at Awan s death. He leaves behind a widow and two daughters. As a journalist, Younas Awan had worked with different media channels. He had rendered great services for the television channel.
